The 2018 China Design Red Star Award Ceremony was grandly held at the Beijing Tianqiao Art Center on December 9, 2018.
After four rounds of judging by nearly 50 judges from home and abroad, including the United States, Germany, Italy, France, and Denmark, this year's Red Star Award ultimately selected 366 winning products. Among them, there was 1 Supreme Gold Award, 8 Gold Awards, 9 Silver Awards, over 300 Red Star Awards, and 55 works received various Red Star Original Awards.
Nearly 1000 people attended the award ceremony, including company personnel, media, experts, scholars, and designers.

Introduction to the Red Star Award
Established in 2006 with the strong support of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology, the China Design Red Star Award, jointly initiated by the China Industrial Design Association and the Beijing Industrial Design Promotion Center, aims to commend excellent designs, encourage design innovation, promote the internationalization of Chinese design, and contribute to the construction of an innovative nation.

The Red Star Award's fair, rigorous, professional, and independent judging mechanism has gained recognition from the domestic design community and global peers. In 2009, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed with the German Red Dot Award. In 2010 and 2012, mutual recognition of standards was reached with the Australian International Design Award and the Korean Good Design Award, respectively.
